Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 3, 2026

Query Lab is committed to protecting your privacy. This page explains how we handle your data.

Data You Provide

When you use the Live SQL Server connection feature, your database credentials are encrypted server-side before storage. We do not store your credentials in plain text. Credentials are associated with your session only and are not shared with third parties.

Browser-Local Data

The app stores your progress, saved drafts, and sandbox state locally in your browser using localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly use the Live SQL Server connection feature.

Cookies

We use minimal essential cookies for session management in the Live SQL Server backend. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Advertising

Google AdSense may collect data and use cookies for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Retention

Server-side session data (connection credentials) is retained for your convenience until you delete it from the Connections page or your account. Browser-local data (localStorage) is retained until you clear it.

Security

Database credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage. We use HTTPS throughout. No data is sold to third parties.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your server-side data at any time by clearing your saved connections. Browser-local data can be cleared by clearing your browser cache for this site.
